The northern part of the Gulf of Orosei is famous for its long beaches of fine sand, the white dunes, the flourish pine forests and the hidden coves among granite cliffs.

There are two treasures on this side of the coast: the Biderosa Oasis (or Bidderosa) and the beach of Capo Comino.

But, especially in Sardinia, the best spots are not always easily accessible, and only a few people know the paths. Let’s discover them together with this driver-guided 4×4 tour!

The protected Oasis of Biderosa (Orosei)

We start our tour from Orosei aboard our Land Rover four-wheel drive vehicles. The first stage will take us inside the protected Oasis of Biderosa (Orosei). The admission to the oasis is limited, it requires the payment of a ticket and booking is always recommended. But don’t worry, Jebel Sardinia will do it for you!

We cross the dirt roads that branch off under the magnificent pine forest until we reach the pond of Sa Curcurica. It’s easy to observe the gray herons, the solitary great white herons, the little egrets, the Italian knights and, sometimes, the shy kingfisher.

After we put away our binoculars and cameras, we leave immediately towards the coves overlooking one of the most beautiful coasts in Sardinia.

We can admire a unique landscape: solitary centenary junipers, myrtle, cistus, white sea lilies, pink granite cliffs and an incredibly transparent sea. This unspoiled nature gives us a wonderful sense of freedom. As many say, the Oasis of Biderosa deserves a trip to Sardinia.

Capo Comino beach (Siniscola)

The next stage of our driver-guided 4×4 tour is Capo Comino beach (Siniscola), famous for its high dunes of white sand. Here, the landscape changes: Gallura to the north, the Capo Comino lighthouse and the islet of Isola Rossa to the south.

We reach the lighthouse aboard the Land Rover to get a panoramic view from the coast to Mount Albo. A perfect observation point to take some pictures!

Resist to a dip in this emerald sea before returning to Orosei is almost impossible. Ah, there is still one last stop! How about a cold beer or ice cream in a chic kiosk overlooking the sea?
