This trek let us discover the beautiful nature reserve close to Orosei. The small difference in height and the easy level makes the hike suitable for everyone. The trekking in the Natural Park of Biderosa starts taking a path in front of a hut of the Forestry Service. We walk through the pine woods. Soon we find a small path on the slope of a hill, where the landscape is characterized by granite rock formations and Mediterranean scrub. We go on and get to the pass of “Janna ventosa” where we can rest under the shade of some big holm oaks and admire century-old junipers. From here we have an exciting view over the small granite hills and the crystal-clear waters of the Golfo di Orosei. The sea is just some steps away! Going down the hill towards the beach we pass by the pond of Biderosa, where, especially in spring, we can have some bird watching on marvelous birds like flamingoes, mallards and the Corsican seagull. The excursion leads us to the white sand beach and we eventually have a swim in the shallow and heaven-like waters of Biderosa. After this break, it’s time to continue with the hiking, we will visit the top of “Monte Urcatu”(125m), enjoying a 360° view over the territory: the beaches of  Biderosa and Berchida, the ponds of Biderosa and “Sa Curcurica” and the whole Gulf of Orosei.

The Biderosa oasis is famous for its wonderful beaches and for the crystalline waters of the sea but this trekking gives the hikers the opportunity to better explore the nature reserve, one of the most beautiful places in Sardinia.
